This Wednesday, November 11 2009, the Committee of Remembrance Cézy French, participated in the commemoration of the 91st anniversary of the Armistice of 1918.
A 09 H 30, a religious ceremony took place in the Church of Cézy, followed at 10 H 30 of the tribute to the war memorial in the town. After reading the letter from the Secretary of State for Veterans Affairs by the Mayor, and that of the National Union Affairs, the President of the Association of Veterans of Cézy u wreath laying and Flame of Hope by the Chairman of Cézy, the 20 children of school Cézy present have sung the Marseillaise. The Mayor has invited hundreds of people to get to the ballroom for the reception.
The President on behalf of the French memory, recalled that for over 130 years we honor all who died for France, and he in turn invited people who wanted to do the Duty of memory to accompany him to the cemetery to lay the Flames of Hope. 12 Children with parents and companions of the Committee visited the tomb of the Dead for France and place a flame.
A 11 H 30, the chairman and an advisor to the Committee went to St Aubin to attend the commemoration of this county.
After the tribute paid by the Mayor, at the war memorial, the fifty people present was transported to the cemetery to lay a Flame of Memory. All participants then met at the community hall for a friendly drink.
