By way of its Minister for Ecology Nathalie Koscuisko-Morizet, the government announced on Wednesday the results of the Call for proposals for sustainable urban transport, the overall amount to be distributed among the various projects from territories amounted to 540 million euros.
- Nice graduated from the State for its second line of tramway rails on 54 million euros,
- Montpellier for the extension of a Line 37 million euros,
- Marseille for its network of tram 21 million euros,
- Cannes for the construction of BRT, a device adapted to smaller cities, 5.3 million euros.
As Toulon, we must settle for the sum of 930,000 euros for the construction of 11 bridges by 2017 to the shuttle boat. We see how the complete reversal of Hubert Falco, referring to the vote of elected TPM who voted in favor of the streetcar rail in 2007, heavily penalizes our territory. Nice, led by its Mayor, gets help from the State sixty times greater than that of Toulon.
No cash to waste time on the completion of a project essential to the development of the town, we are now losing money in a context where it is rare. These delays of the President of TPM is a major mistake for the future of a territory of nearly 500,000 inhabitants. In November 2005, we, at the initiative of Hubert Falco, taken unanimously TPM and a good decision in choosing the tram rails, by establishing a timetable for the work, validating a path and through the financial choices. We lost too much time, we miss the aid of the state that will not last forever and are consistent. Now we need on this common sense prevails at last.
