CARE France appeals to all those who believe the myths on women must be opposed and want to support the cause of women worldwide. On the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day, we appeal to you to sensitize policymakers to the cause of women.

A petition will be sent to the President of the Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, through his chairmanship of the G8-G20, for which France is loud and the voices of those who are deprived around the world. Through this petition, CARE France calls for commitments required of States in:

- access to the health of women and children: Each year millions of women die for reasons that are preventable.
- Access to education: Only equitable access to education and "leadership" will solve long-term inequalities.
- access to financial services essential tool for development and economic empowerment of women.

Finally, CARE France is campaigning for the introduction of the tax on financial transactions, known as "Robin Hood Tax" that would generate the funding required to achieve these goals.
